The FSM National Department of Education (NDOE) announces that a grant application
for funding under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) will be
submitted for US Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2025 covering the period of July 1, 2025 to
June 30, 2026. The FSM continues to receive IDEA Part B funding from US Department
of Education Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS)-Office of
Special Education Programs (OSEP) to provide special education and related service
programs and services for eligible children with disabilities ages birth-21.
IDEA requires that the annual application for funding be made available for public
review and comment. Consistent with this requirement, the FSM NDOE announces that
the Annual State Application under Part B of IDEA for FFY 2025 will be submitted to
the U.S. Department of Education, OSERS on or before May 21, 2025.
